LETTER FROM DANIEL Hi there
I hope everything is good with you. We're here in Dublin at the moment and I'm on a night off. We have been doing shows here since we returned from Tenerife. We have had a great tour so far and we only have 4 shows left. I'm delighted with the reaction that the "Tipperary Girl" is getting at all the shows! I think people see in this song what I did the first time I heard it. I know that some of you are having difficulty getting it in the shops but keep trying because they should be able to order it for you. Tell them that its on the Rosette Record label. You can also get it as a download on iTunes. So all your internet wizards get cracking!
I'll be in Dungloe this friday afternoon at 1pm joining Hugo Duncan on Radio Ulster on an outside broadcast. If you're in the area drop by, or listen on the radio or internet. I want to remind you once again about the charity night in Dungloe on Monday night 2nd August. This was a late addition to the tour and the proceeds are going to the local community school and hospital in Dungloe.
We had a great time in Tenerife at my nephews wedding. It wasn't just one day but a whole week of celebrations! They both looked fantastic on the day. We will post a picture when it's available.
I will be going to Australia on the 22nd of August to do some promotion prior to our tour there. Watch out for me popping up on your tv shows and radio stations. We are looking forward to seeing you all both in Australia and New Zealand.
I had a great surprise last Saturday night at our concert in Castlebar. I had the pleasure of having Susan Boyle of "Britian's Got Talent" fame join me on stage. She was on a visit to Ireland and wanted to attend our show. I had never met her before although she had been to a number of our concerts prior to her rise to fame. I was really delighted to meet her and she is a lovely person. She sang the song she has made her own "I Dreamed A Dream" and she took the house down. We then sang a duet of "Lady Of Knock". It was a night to remember!
As you know Majella has recorded an album which will be available, we hope, in the early autumn. I got to duet with her on a song written by Ged Roberts, who wrote "Tell Me You Love Me" which I recorded on a previous album. I'm not the only one dueting with her this time as I'm delighted to say that our good friend Sir Cliff Richard has also done a duet with her!! It's an original number and its really fantastic! I'll fill you in later on where you can get a copy of the cd.
That's all the news for now. Take care and God bless
Daniel
