 DANIEL'S NEW ALBUM-THE ULTIMATE COLLECTIONDaniel's 30th Anniversary Album The Ultimate Collection Release date 17th October 2011 This year Daniel celebrates his 30th anniversary in the music business and to mark this special milestone we are releasing 'The Ultimate Collection'. This is a 40 track album featuring 10 new songs and 30 songs which reflect many aspects of his career, past and present. The album features among others his first single “My Donegal Shore”, which has been re-recorded for this collection, “I Just Want To Dance With You”, his top 30 hit and first ever Top of the Pops appearance, some of his most popular country, Irish and inspirational songs and a few of his self-penned songs including the popular “Beyond The Rainbows End”. Daniel says that this album has given him the opportunity, to indulge a little, by recording songs that he really wanted to record, including a number of originals. ”It was on the 28th January 1981 in a place called the Ragg in Thurles, Co Tipperary that I first stepped on stage with my sister Margaret and her band. I can hardly believe that it's 30 years since I began this wonderful journey. On a personal level this is also a special year as I cerebrate my 50th birthday on the 12th December. This album has been put together to recognise both landmarks in my life. 30 of the tracks are songs that I have previously released since I started recording back in 1983. I picked the songs that I felt were the ones that you made successful for me going right back to my very first recording "My Donegal Shore" Through the years when picking songs to record my simple criteria was to sing songs that I loved. There are also 10 newly recorded songs on this album that I love to sing and I hope you will enjoy too. I want to thank you for making the last 30 years so successful for me and I hope we will enjoy many more years of music together. This album certainly lives up to its title “The Ultimate Collection”, and we hope that you will enjoy this special 30th Anniversary Collection.
